Philadelphia coffee-shop community, be on the look out…Guerilla Mug Assault is here

I posted earlier about the Clay Studio’s public project entitled “Guerilla Mug Assault”, an exciting concept that examines the relevance of the handmade mug in contemporary culture through public activism and social media.

Well, the time has arrived, and this morning (November 8, 2012) in Philly, a handful of volunteers will be pounding the pavement spreading a wealth of handmade mugs (500 to be exact) to unknowing coffee-shop patrons whose choice of cup (until today I hope) is of the paper-variety.  Yesterday, an article by Joy Manning was published on philly.com about this event.  It quotes Clay Studio Communications Manager and artist Naomi Cleary and participating artist Meredith Host.  Click on the picture below to link to the article.
