This is a 36 page PDF DOWNLOAD of hand-drawn handouts. While the techniques covered in this packet focus on hand-built lids, they also translate to wheel-thrown lidded pots. The homespun style of these handouts were inspired by a couple of my favorites resources: Val Cushing’s handbook and the Japanese Pottery Handbook.

These handouts were made after 28 years of working with and teaching classes in clay. I was a wheel thrower for almost 24 years (porcelain, stoneware, and earthenware) and 5 years ago, I switched to hand-building stoneware. I’m not sure why it took so long!
